As Vice President of MMPI Vancouver, Mark Stephenson is part of the management team that provides strategic directions and overall event management for seventeen commercial real estate conferences and three trade shows serving the building design, construction and property management fields. These trade shows include Buildex, Design Northwest/Design Trends and The Real Estate Forums. Mark also oversees the One of a Kind Vancouver and Interior Design Show West. All of these events have become Canada’s largest annual conferences and signature shows in their respective fields and in the sectors/markets that they serve.
Mark’s areas of expertise include attendee marketing strategy, exhibit sales, building design, real estate, and property management.

Prior to joining MMPI Canada, Mark was the Show Manager for Southham Inc. After working for Southham, Mark spent 4 years as Show Manager for Southex Exhibitors/DMG before coming part of Media Edge Communications West Inc as partner in 1998. While at Media Edge Communications West, Mark directed and participated in the organization of over one hundred shows and conferences in Canada and Washington State. The company created a portfolio of Canada’s largest expositions and conferences serving the building design, construction, real estate management and investment sectors.
In November 2006, Mark and his two partners sold their portfolio of trade shows and conferences to MMPI. He has stayed on board with MMPI as Vice President, maintaining the same event management responsibilities.
Mark is also a member of Western Association of Exhibition Managers (WAEM), and donates his time as an annual contributor to Canuck Place Children’s Hospice, which provides palliative and respite care services for sick children in BC Canada.
Mark was born and raised in Vancouver and currently resides on North Shore, BC with his wife Paula and his two children. Mark graduated from Simon Fraser University in 1989 with a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Political Science and Communications.
